Anyone have a tv/am fm tuner in their factory radio spot? Any clearance issues with the shifter or t/c shifter? Im thinking of looking into this and doing it along with some more behind the seats to get rid of the factory 4 speaker system but looking at any options.. thanks Big Grin

Have in my 95 pathy:

- Clarion pro-audio CD/tuner (cant remember the model name, but its 3 years old)
- Rio 20 gig MP3 player
- Sony 10 disc CD changer w/ CD Text
- Poweracoustik 1400w 2 channel bridged to mono
- Harmon 250W high current amp (for fronts.. but not wired in yet)
- Kenwood 320W amp (for rears.. but not wired yet)
- 1F capacitor
- 1 10" MTX Thunder 7000 sub in a sealed box
- Pair of Pioneer 3 way 5x8s in the doors
- 500W power inverter
- 6 outlet powerstrip Smile

I need to get another set of speakers for the rear, at which point I can go ahead and wire the front and rear amps in.

I built an amp rack from 1" box steel that all the amps, changer, capacitor, inverter, powerstrip, etc mount in over the driver's side rear wheelwell. It takes up hardly any space. It is designed so that things can fly around in the back of the truck while wheeling and not damage the equipment. It works very well.

I remember the pics. It's a great design. Keeps everything off to the side and out of the way.

I like the stock six-disc in-dash changer and the steering wheel controls plus the fact that it's free... I also had a 200w amp that I wasn't really using; also free.

So I spent some cash and got 9-conductor cable, a nice four-channel line-out convertor and both male/female harness. End result? A plug-n-play amp cable that doesn't modify stock components in any way.

Result? More volume, cleaner audio.

Just gotta replace the speakers now...

Details here if you're interested/curious.
