So I left my lights on the other day and had a dead battery. Tried to charge it but never wanted to kick over. After letting it charge 10 min still nothing. I went and got a new battery and the smashfinder started right up. The thing now is only my headlights worked. I have no power to anything else, no tail lights, no turn signals, no stereo, nothing. I have checked the fuses and found nothing.
What could be the problem? Thanks Scotty Dont |

Did you forget to connect the fusible link part to the battery?

My truck did this once. I knocked off the dust off the fuse box and everything worked afterwards.

I checked each and every fuse in the fuse box to the left of the steering column and found one bad one. Switched it out for a good one ans still have nothing but lights and windshield wipers. I took a look at some relays but they all looked normal, I am really not sure what they should look like if they are blown so I may be wrong. I will try to post a picture showing the two connectors next to the battery that aren't connected to anything. Also, the loose connectors can't be plugged into each other because they are different. If I can't figure it out, to the shop it goes.

Nissan kinda made a stupid design with the battery terminals. If all those wires on the electrical connector at the battery terminal are not hooked up the truck wont start.
This is the most common problem with the truck not starting over. That is if everything els checks good. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |

My smashfinder starts up and runs great. I just don't have anything electrical except headlights and front wipers.
I hope this doesn't get expensive |

Are you getting voltage at the fuse panel?
Sounds like a burned out fusible link. Perhaps just a bad connection on one of the fusible links. They are wire loops connected into the harness right by the battery. |

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the exact same problem, truck starts and runs. I have headlights and wipers, but nothing in the dash, no power windows, no power locks.
I left my truck in the garage over the winter, and I had to jump start it to get it running, everythign worked fine then. Then I shut it off and had to jump it before putting it on the trailer. This time my friend hooked up the damn cables backwards. Killed my battery. I dropped in a new battery and a few new relays and it starts, but no power to the dash or any accessories. What do the fuseable links look like and how can I tell if they are bad? I'm guessing they are the two 3in long connectors on the positive terminal on the battery. One has 3 wires and one has 2 wires. If the fuseable links turn out to be ok, what else should I check? ________ I didn't understand what torsion ment, so I cut the damn bar off. |
