I just noticed the summit in the catalog. Exact same specs. 172 gears 6.6hp series wound etc. They must be made in china at the same factory.

Volts x Current = Power so bigger HP is not really a good thing.

I think I am going to try a Warn.

Does the summit version say that its made in china? Is it the same style as the current t-max linked above? Most people know a summit is a rebaged T-max.

I dont know where there made. I just guess China. Which is fine. My Milemarker is made there and very happy with it. I hear they have some awesome iso9000 factories over there, I just want a series wound winch to try. The Tmax sure sounds good I have yet to use a warn or tmax. Most people I know have MM or HF. I tried to use a warn 6k once but it did not work. Complain The remote was bad.

I may get a tmax or warn both sound good.

Because i have read many reviews about MM. I got my Summit/ T-max winch, Which i can guarantee you it is a rebadged T-maxx because: the wires, the solenoids, and just about everything in the housing has T-max written on it. I am very happy with my decision. I used it twice now plenty of power faster than my Cousins 8274 warn and his brothers 12000 warn.

Well The Summit winchs are now ski high. Its cheaper to just buy a warn.
