Okay: The problem is that when I lock the truck by pushing the knob on the door or the power lock button on the armrest and then close the door the truck unlocks (no the keys are not in the ignition) So far the only way I can lock my truck is to go in through one of the back doors, lock all the doors and then close up. If you close either front door the power locks unlock the entire truck. Any ideas?

I think they are supposed to do that. To keep you from locking your keys in the truck. You have to lock the doors from the outside, using the key or a remote keyless system.

But he said that the keys are not in the ignition. On the wife's pathy I can either use the plunger or the button to lock it then close the doors. Maybe try lubing the IGN cylinder. There may be some switch or something stuck telling it that the keys are still in it???

mine has always done that. I thought it was supposed to, even without the keys in the ignition. Oh well, I'll call it an extra anti-idiot feature. Big Grin

My locks do that sometimes. Sometimes they don't work at all. I'll let you know if I figure it out.

Try holding the outside door handle in the open position when you close the door. The electric locks are designed to not lock the keys in the vehicle so the only way around it is holding the handle in the open position or locking using the key.

Pathfinders are a pain in the butt as far as the door lock system works. I have constantly had problems out of mine. Haven't had problems with the actual lock though, mine seems to lock all the doors everytime I press it. Unless the keys are in the ignition.

Mine does the same thing, but not all the time. If the keys are in the ignition they won't lock, thats fine. But sometimes with keys in hand I can't lock the doors using the plunger or armrest. Then sometimes when I'm trying to unlock the doors from the passenger side doing the double turn, they all pop up, then promptly come down again. I can't pop all the locks by double turning on the driver side at all...can any of you? When I get the chance I'm just going to get new solinoids put in on all the doors and get a keyless remote.
