I have a 95 XE 2wd reg cab truck, and it has crappy little 4" speakers in the door. I'm pretty sure I can shove 6x9s in the door with a spacer and some cutting, but I'd like to know if anyone else is done it, and possibly some pictures. THanks.

I tried to do it in my 92 and it didn't work cause the magnet would hit the window. I could have spaced it out some but it wouldn't have fit behind the door trim.

The 87-89 models have a different door and it will work in some cases.

Just put a 5 1/2 or 6 1/2 in there. I dont think a 6x9 would fit in there.

I put 5x7s in my door to replace the stock 4x6s in my 95 pathfinder. It took some creative mounting, but they went in fine and the stock speaker grills still work fine.

I've got 4x6s in mine, and that's the factory size. I'll get some bigger ones next time though.

I would recommend using 6" round's they have the same great sound of a 6x9 but they arent as thick so they work great in doors I have them in my truck and they sound great and can hold as much power as a 6x9..It's just a suggestion
