the 4WD shift indicator light in my 2001 pathfinder has started blinking. If I am in 2WD the top two lights and the middle light blinks, if I switch to auto just the middle light blinks. The truck changes gears with no problem. What could be wrong?

as long as the 4wd stiff works I would not be to worried. On my 95 the green 4wd indicator light works when it wants to.

The last time my 4wd light started flipping out it was cause one of the wires had come disconnected. Check that first, then have the truck scanned. 2001 should be smart enough that if its a code you should be able to find it.
