check this out!
http://www.v6-s12.com/Projects.htm I gotta do this. Especially since it's near-impossible to turn that screw with the computer being sealed in a box. |

Everything is wired up, but I can't figure out the switch. It seems like you would push and hold it until the lights started flashing for mode selection, but they don't. I turned the screw on the ECU and then the lights on the box worked. So at least I could do that.
Nobody will respond to emails about it. I'm too far into this to quit now lol |

It is a mode selection switch.. I would think it would function just like the screw on the ECU. Youd have to hold it down until it flashes the mode # that you want to run in.

Would this work on my 87? I can figure out my ecu....it actually has a toggle switch to switch to and from diagnostic mode....but I can figure out how to select which mode.....no screw to turn as in the others....swicth on passenger side of ecu lights on drivers side....real pita to see.
POS still aint running either. 87 5speed 4x4 V6 Pathy.....with a few mods |

I have no idea if it will work on yours. I found the pin layout in the FSM for a 1994, but I don't have one for a truck that old
BTW, I've been driving around all day watching the lights If anybody wants me to make them one just let me know. I might even try and find a connector that will fit into the check connector so it could just plug right up. John, I'm using the RS LEDs that have a built-in resistor. I can get a PN if you want. |
