Additionally if anyone has any experience with these batteries in a daily driver please post that as well as I'd love to drop 25-30 pounds from the front of my X if possible as well...

Odyssey Dry Cell Battery-

Here are a few things I know about odyssey batterys. Odysseys are by fare the best dry cell you can purchase. They supply battery to the us army for tanks and other equipment.

odyssey batterys withstand heat much better than the optima brand. If I had a choice over optima or odyssey, hands down I would pick the odyssey.

odyssey batterys are not well know for these reasons.
1)few retailers. Odyssey batteries haven't really been used much in auto buiz. They have sold their product to extreme clients. military, construction. Lines of work where the battery is put in extreme unhealthy conditions.

For the cost I would stay with a optima blue top. I know the military spec batterys are much heavier then a standard optima blue or yellow.

odyssey batteries

I run odysseys in all my trucks. 8-12 year service life and a 3 year warranty with most of their batteries.
