A guy rolled up in the shop yesterday with a competition truck . The guy was running one of these batts with 2 2,000 rms (4,000+ max) amps. He was running a hc800 (950 amps) no matter how high he turned up the system no lights dimmed.

I talked to him for about 30 minutes. He said he can run his system at say max for 45 minues before he drained the batt. He was running a stock car batt and this audio one in tandem. All audio equipment was running off the 2nd batt.

The guy said these bats are better than anything els on the market. When anyone gets a shipment in tow they sell out the same day.

I was impressed with what he was running and how everything operated. I figure a HC2400 will run anything I need.

looks like an extreme "deep cycle" type battery. ANything AGM is great.

Those are nuts.. You could almost get 3 yellow tops for the price of one of those 2400s. I run a single yellow top and it has yet to let me down after 5 years of hard use.

The msrp is high but I found some on ebay for 238. Yellow top runs about ~170.

I haven't decided what I'm going to do for power needs. I do need a good source of power.

I think you pay a premium for their hellacious discharge capability, and the small size.

If I'm understanding the stats on other AGM tyype batteries, the 120 Ah rating on the Kinetik batt ends up costing double the going rate, when compared to a 120 Ah yellow top OPtima in the $200 range.

238 woudl be reasonable for that battery. If you can get one that cheap, go for it and let us know how it works.

I'd be interested in the longevity of them compared to an optima.

If you're going to blow that kind of dough, get an Odyssey battery:
