i have 2 quick questions for all. (good afternoon by the way)
i have the re4r01a tranny in my 95 hardbody v6. the overdrive has not turned off with the switch for quite some time. i tested the switch, and that works. i have seen wiring diagrams that show a fuse for it. runs with the hazards i think?? so obviously if my hazards work, then the fuse is fine, which i think is labeled "AT", in the fuse panel. That pretty much leaves me down to a bad connection between the switch and cancel solenoid correct? is the overdrive cancel solenoind on the side of the tranny? i can't check my codes if i can't turn my OD on and off can i? Thanks |

There should be a solenoid on the shifter itself! I know they have issues from time to time

i had the shifter tore apart the best i could, but i couldn't haul the handle off. i had taken out the 2 screws on the front of it, i had the back of the switch exposed, but that's as far as i got...........
