After installing the tranny cooler, today i installed a transmission oil temp. guage so i can make sure everything stays nice and cool. I split the return line before it goes back to the transmission with a T conector as u can see in the pic
Looks good...I was wondering how to put a Temp guage in for that...and that looks like a good Idea. I was just gonna drill into the pan, but your idea looks better.
I bought an amp guage and the temp. guage for $24.00 CAN Taxes in. The temp guage was $12.99 from Canadian Tire, then $10 for the 'T' connector and hose fittings. Its a water temp guage but its all the same thing.
Anyone know what sorta temps should I be getting in the tranny? It seems to sit between 130-140 F
you probably need to install that in the line coming right out of the tranny, this way it mimics the temp gauge on your cooling system to get the temp right out of the tranny instead of after the fluid is cooled already.
