95 4cyl xe 4wd I have seen a few posts but not a final answer on this problem. My dash guages are dead, no back up lights and a dimly lit battery dummy light. could it be the alternator, voltage regulator or something else? I am in the process of moving and don't have access to my haynes or chiltons.

Do you have access to a KRAGENS or AutoZONE?

They test battery's/alternators for free.

It sounds like you're not charging, or have bad corroded connections on the BATTERY.

Did you replace your fuse? Don't just do a visual check, replace it.
