There is a meeting being held on Tuesday, October 8 that we all need to attend. This is our chance to make sure our voice is heard. DR will be there and all of you who can make it should be too. Below is the information:

Tuesday, Oct 8 - 7pm-9pm
Paradise Valley Community Center, 17402 N. 40th, Phoenix (40th & Bell)

The Agua Fria National Monument Plan & Bradshaw Foothills-Harquahala Management Plan Revision Scoping Meeting will be held at the Paradise Valley Community Center, 17402 North 40th, Phoenix, 7-9 p.m. The BLM is hosting ten scoping meetings to provide the public an opportunity to learn more about the resource management planning process underway for the Agua Fria National Monument and the Bradshaw Foothills-Harquahala area. The public is invited to provide relevant questions and issues regarding possible environmental and social effects of different management alternatives for the federal lands within the two planning areas. The issues raised at these meetings and those issues provided to the BLM during the comment period, which closes November 15, 2002, will be evaluated in an environmental impact statement (EIS) for the proposed Agua Fria National Monument Management Plan and Bradshaw Foothills-Harquahala Plan Revision.

The first workshop for the land planning for the BLM has been scheduled. We need to have attendance at this!!

It is Saturday, December 14th from 9am - 12:30pm at the LaQuinta at 2510 W Greenway, Phoenix.

Here is the event description: These workshops have been devised to explain the process of route designation to interested publics, groups and concerned communities. Our plan is to present the "route analysis process" with a goal of all participants leaving the workshop with a good understanding of the analysis, the designation process and resource issues that must be dealt with through various management opportunities. Citizens and interested groups will review the routes and develop ideas about travel and transportation plan for both plans. All of this work will be wrapped into the development of alternatives.

You can also go here , click on the Calendar of Events and choose December to see more information.

We need to get a list together of who will attend. Remember, RED SHIRTS!

Cool, that one is even closer to my house than the last meeting. I think that's a whopping 3 miles from the house for me. Watch me not even make it!!! Heheheh. I'll probably go though.

Red shirts distinguish the difference between the greenies. Red shirts represent OHV users. Not sure how that ever came about or who determined red, but...

We bought some cheap plain old red t-shirts at Walmart for $5.
