So how many of us do it? Let me rephrase that, how many peope think that they tread lightly? I know you all mean well, but I would like to start a topic about things we see on the trail that is not tread lightly but is sometimes not realized that it is not. I'd like to hear about others experiences and maybe learn a few things as well.

I'll start with trash. How many of you have seen someone (cause I know no-one here would ever!) flick a cigerette butt out the window or while at camp? How about throwing bottles into a fire? How many of us have taken contanimated dirt from a spill? I know I am guilty, but that is what this is about: education. What should we carry? Is it o.k. to take a by-pass because one may want to show up his buddies even if that by pass is not really part of the trail? The same goes for vehicles not equipped for the trail and has to use or even makke a by-pass in order to continue. What is more important, the rig or the trail? I guess that depends if it's your rig or not.

There are things that some of us may do without realizing that this is what is closing trails. Let's identify and change any bad habits we may have in order to keep our trails open.
Lator......
