FOREST SERVICE – TONTO NATIONAL FOREST

Greetings from the Tonto Planning Team,

Most of you will soon receive a letter telling you of our upcoming new
round of public meetings. Our focus for these meetings has shifted due to
the recent court ruling enjoining the Forest Service's planning rule. This
new round of meetings will be to review some of the concerns that were
brought out during the last round of meetings, and discuss where they might
best be addressed, whether in forest planning or in some other process.

This round of meetings is scheduled as follows:

| District | Date | Time | Location |

Globe | May 15 | 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Globe High School auditorium |

Tonto Basin | May 21 | 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Tonto Basin Elementary School gym |

Cave Creek | May 24 | 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Paradise Valley Community Center |

Mesa | May 23 | 6:30-8:00 p.m. | East Mesa Public Library, Red Mtn. Branch |

Payson | May 29 | 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Rim Country Middle School, cafeteria/auditorium |

Pleasant Valley| May 30 | 6:30-8:00 p.m. | Pleasant Valley Community Center |

Thanks for posting Dennis.

Dang, wish there was more advance notice.

Can anyone attend any of these? Wear red if you do.

1998 Frontier 4x4, 2002 Xterra 4x4, 2007 AWD Murano, 1970 Chevy CST10 lowrider, and an Intruder VS800.

I dreamt I was a muffler last night. When I woke up, I was exhausted.

They are doing the same sort of thing here in Mississippi. It seems as if I am getting screwed because I was pretty much the only person to show up in support of OHV trail riding. Everyone is too frickin' busy. Mad

PLEASE show your support at these meetings or you WILL lose land use. It is happening to me right now. Complain

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Interesting meeting. Turns out "Forest Planning" and "Travel Management" are separate things in the Forest Service world. This was a "Forest Planning" informational meeting. The red shirts outnumbered everybody else thanks to the Bronco club and the state association.

Howard Johnson is RIGHT!!

Travel Management is the biggie, but Forest Planning is good to keep tabs on also. I watch the website in my area.
