As we all know, you can get plates for everyting from veteran to ASU to diamondbacks, but there is not an Off Highway Vehicle plate to support the states OHV programs.
AZ Game & Fish & AZ State Parks.

I sent an email off to the my state reps (district 16), to inquire about making this available through DMV, and surprisingly, State Rep Ben Miranda actually left a message at my house to say he thought it was a good idea and he would be willing to put forth the legislation to make it happen.
So, I am going to call his office on Monday to see what is involved, and muster up the support from the OHV community. If a few bucks from each plate would go to fund the programs, I would certainly be willing to get them for my trucks.
If interested, send an email to him at bmiranda@azleg.gov & let him know the community would support any effort to protect Arizona's open spaces while allowing access to explore them. Tread Lightly!

I'd be willing to get rid of my vintage Arizona copper plate for something to support OHVs. That is a fantastic idea!

I am sending an email now.

This might be something that should be posted over on pirate4x4. Lots of Arizona guys over there that would love to support such a plate.

I emailed to asa4wdc, a couple of other 4x clubs, and a couple of atv and mtx clubs.
The legislature would not get to this until next session. Rep. Miranda said to work with his staff to draw up a bill, and he would be willing to support it come January. So, plenty of time to spread the word and build support.

Good move Ty. Let us know what happens, and if you need any further support, it might be good to draft a form letter that people could cut and paste into email.
