does anybody know if the a pitman arm from an 88 will fit a 94. im not worried about the taper in the front as it will be reamed. but im wondering if the spline count is the same to attach it to the steering box

Don't think so. They changed somewhere around 89-90

The steering box/pitman that I got from the salvage yard were from a WD21 that said 94' on the windshield. Except for the way the hard lines attached, it was the same as the one on my 4wd 91' D21. The hard lines attached at different angles and used different size banjo bolts. I've got that box on my truck now along with the Pathy hard lines and I still have both pitman arms, reamed by Parts Mike. The pitman arms are the same. I've got pics if you need to see them.

nice info to know. So Nissan basically kept all 4x4 pitman arms the same throughout the hardbody run. I know for sure the tapered hole sizes did change in 95.

83-90 have the same size spline size. 91-04 have the same size. This size is the same as some yotas.

The tie rod changed also.

From 91 to 04, did the spline change or only the taper for the TRE?

Great info. Which pitman arms will give you the most droop? Also are they all supper hardened? My pitman arm screamed and took a $20 bit to drill out. I used a drill press.

Yeah 91-94 show the same part number in FAST. 95 I guess is a different taper but same spline on steering box.

I have reamed 88 - 2002 pitmans. I dont notice any difference. As far as SAS goes there is only two size. But as the above pic shows some have more meat than others.

I have a 91 box, pitman and centerlink I need to take apart and add to the lineup.
