There seems to be 2 Differant styles of Idler Arms out there. The OE style which appers to have a stamped uper section, but it can be braced for double shear strength.

And the style made by TRW and MOOG which cannot be braced because the bolt cannot come out the other side because a grease port does. On the other hand the MOOG/TRW fully cast Idler arms seem a bit beefier and appears to turn on a larger diamer bearing surface.

Question:
So...
Which is better?

Choices:
OE style because it is so relyable once its braced.
MOOG/TRW because Its beefy and all you need.

I've read nothing but bad things about the Moog Idler.

Stocker has replaceable bushings making it cheap to refresh and renew. I know the Moog has a warrenty. But, having a pile of cheap bushings in the toolbox just saves time money.

I haven't been IFS since '03, but I did LIKE the fact that the Stock Idler arm can be braced, and it's HELLA strong once it is braced! Later...

looks like OE with a brace is winning.

Hey bro,

I don't know anything about the Moog setup. I trust my bretheren here though and it doesn't sound very appealing!

Thanks for reminding me that need to install an Idlre arm brace(been meaning to getaroundtoit for 3 years...lol). I've done most everything you can do offroad in a WD21 with just an LSD and 31.10-50's and I haven't broken it yet. I can't stand the stock steering setup but it'll do the job until I'm Sas'd one day! I need a new centerlink too.

Peace
