Hey ya'll, I just got a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder with a custom made 3 inch lift but otherwise stock, then 2 days ago a piston blew out. I am brand new to off roading and cannot get any help, I need some advice on how to build a solid rig that can handle the back woods in Alabama. And what should I do about getting an engine?

VG30 long blocks aren't too hard to come by if you can swap engines.

Otherwise, just start reading up in the forums here, speicfically in the Skidplate Alley forum. There's years worth of info in here about these trucks, and you'll learn a lot.

swap in a new engine.

Figure out what you'll be doing with your truck then built it according.
