Sorry, if I was at home or drove the pathy to work I would measure myself, but I am curiouse and cannot wait.

Does anyone know what the outer diameter of the stock coils are? I'd really appreciate it, I may just order up some springs if it is what I am looking for. Smile

I can measure mine when I get home.

The inner diameter is roughly 4-4.25"

Well I guess what I really need is the outer diameter of the spring seat. If anyone has a chance, I'd really appreciate it, I'll measure it tonight when I get home if nothing else.

Haha thanks. I actually have to work late tonight so I'll likely be here after midnight. That'll teach me to take vacation! Actually, I am thinking of ordering some coils if they will fit in the seat, but I can always order them tomorrow. smiley20

You know, it should work as long as the I/D is 4 inches. The coils themselves if I remember right could handle 1/2"+ thick coil if you really wanted it too.

Just thinking out loud.

Well they should also work if the inner diameter is a little bigger than 4", however the outer diameter is also imortant so that it will fit in the spring buckets.

Ok.. Here are the measurements of the stock coils:

outer diameter is 5-1/8"
inner diameter is 4-1/8"
Coil thickness = 1/2"

And just for fun and comparison's sake, I measured the F100 springs:

outer diameter is 5-1/4"
inner diameter is 4"
Coil thickness = 5/8"

Awww sweet! I'm gonna pick me up some Rubicon Coils for a ZJ! The guy said the outer diameter is about 5-1/4". They are way long to so if I need I can cut them down. I think these may be worth a try. They are $150 but that would be well worth it gave me what I want. Worst case scenario, I'll sell them on e-bay or something for a loss.

What is the unloaded length of the Rubicon coils? Any idea?

I can measure the length of the F100 and stock coils so we can get an idea of the lift they will give.
