Is there anything other than a wheel sensor that will cause the ABS light to stay on?

My light started coming on sometimes when you started the truck but lately it is on all the time. If it won't hurt anything I will leave it alone.

Also ever since the dealer replaced the t-chain and water pump in my truck when it is below freezing outside the engine never warms up and it barely blows hot air. It has been about 3 year and 40K miles so it has been doing this to me for a couple winters. Not a huge deal but right now the morning lows are 0-5 and daytime highs are in the low 30's - little cool on the drive to work. I have talked to the dealer but this and they did not seem to concerned

In the summer the engine temp is fine. How hard is the therastat to replace? anything else I should look into?

Sounds like you're on the right track, looking at the t-stat. IIRC it's not difficult on either the 4 banger or 6 cylinder. I assume you have a V6, but I don't remember for sure what the LE came with. I always go with Nissan OEM T-stats, they seem to be constructed better than the typical Stant you can get elsewhere. The T-stat is a critical part that's not worth saving $5 on.

abs light wont hurt anything...you just dont have abs anymore, more than likley it will be your wheel speed sensor, and a new one costs WAY to much, so if you truck a jy, you can get one from there...but any problem with your abs it will trip the code and disable your abs, so its either your sensor, wireing to the sensor or abs module(usually dosent go bad), but i would check the codes and it will tell you whats wrong, theres a wireing connector under your dash, you have to get a pice of wire and jump 2 terminals together then count the flashes from your abs light, then look up what the number of flashes means,..........dont quote me on this one because i did this over 2 years ago, but i beleve 11 flashes is the wheel speed sensor,......and to test the wheel speed sensor you gota bust out the voltmeter unplug the wheel speed sensor, probe the connector on both pins, and then spin the tires, if you get a reeding that comes and goes as the wheel spins its normal, and means its working, if you dont get anything, well then its the sensor and you need a new one...

i had that happen to me once before. i asked around and was told in some cases the abs light would come on because i needed to add some brake fluid.(which was my case) also it could be a sensor or something to do with your brakes(caliper, rotor, pads) that kind of thing. that is what i was told. also the other day it came on again.and all i had to do was change the abs fuse in the fuse box.
