So I have searched the forum for about an hour now and can't find any situations like mine. well here is the story...

I live in Flagstaff so temperatures are a little cold right now. Ever since winter has rolled around the pathfinder has had issues when starting. What happens is that it starts up fine, and idles at the right speed for about a second. Then it slowly idles down then shutters and shuts off. When I try to start it up again I have to crank it for a long time before It will start again. However...

If I start it up and keep my foot on the gas and keep it at about 1500 rpm's for like 5 seconds it will run fine and not shut off.

Anyone have any ideas. The battery and starter were replaced about 2-3 months ago so pretty sure it has nothing to do with that

oh wow it's been a while since I've seen you on the board.

When it's cold my truck will idle at 1500-1700rpm's for about a 2-5 minutes then idles down to 1-1100 rpm's. When engine is finally warm she will idle around 750rpm's

If your truck is idling at 750rpm's when cold something is wrong. I would try running the codes.

As normal trouble shooting goes check all the normal stuff. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter.

Check fuel pressure and the IACV-Regulator.

Fuel pressure should be ~34psi at idle. Disconnect the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator and it should rise to ~43psi. This is done with the gauge installed in between the fuel filter and the rail.

The IACV connector has two wires. One is ground so make sure it's grounded well. Resistance between the two terminals should be 70-80 Ohms.
