I found a company called PAECO Industries that beives "what's good for a big V-8 is good for a small engine, too!"
I asked if their Stroker Kit would work in a VG30i being that its not fuel injected (and a few other differances)
The sort answer is that I can get a stroker kit for my pathy for 2G
My engine is due for a rebuild anyway so I think I might start saving up...
what do you guys think?

I know somones gonna throw out there that I should go v8 but there are some NPORA fourm guys who have and cooling is an issue for every one of them, no matter what kind of fans and raidiator they run even in 60 deg weather, they just can't get enough airflow (thru radiator with that much engine blocking the other side) for low speed (ofroad)driving when the engine bay is that crammed full of engine. I belive a vg30 Stroker will give me enough torque out of the same block, same tranny, same cooling effeciency etc..

The engines are the same. Only thing that changed is the ignition system. In 90 Nissan went with multiple point fuel injection. In the throttle body on the VG30I engines there is only two fuel injectors.

You will definitely be limited by the amount of fuel the vg30I throttle body is able to dispense.

AS for the link posted. regardless if the kit is for a Z31 or Z32, both engines have multi point fuel injection.

thats a good point,so I'll probably just use stock-sized stroker piston instead of a bigger bore piston. so that I'm not demanding too much of my bottle necked TBI.

I just looked into it, L&P made a supercharger kit for vg30i and used a L&P Performance moddified TBI (port and polish stock TBI use stock injectors)
Supercharged VG30i Pathy
I don't want to do this but I'm just saying that if the stock injectors / TBI and ECU could keep up with 14 psi boost. I'm guessing it can keep up with the demand of a stroked engine.

No, it won't. At WOT, my injectors aren't close to max with my 3.3.

I'm guessing you have a bored out vg30i I'm pretty sure Nissan didn't make a vg33i (TBI) Can you give me any details? power difference!? Thanks for clearing one of my bigger concerns.

No he swapped his intake and stuff onto a vg33e from a newer vehicle. Look on AC for his how-to.

They didn't, I did. Power difference? A fair amount going from a tired 135hp engine to a fresh 170 (I think) hp engine. Hills I couldn't maintain speed on in fourth gear, I could pull in fifth after the swap. It's in the how-to here and on ac's board.

It's going to get the big cams, and a computer upgrade, too.

Personally, I don't see stroking a 3.0. If the kit is $2000, the parts to rebuild a 3.0 were about $1800 when I was gone to do mine, which is what drove me to a 3.3 swap in the first place. You're talking over $3,000 before machining.

3.0 parts with no machining = $1800
3.3 with 4 miles on it = $1200

It was an easy choice.

I already spent allot of time and energy with full exhuast mods. Do you think the VG30 headers I have would bolt on to the vg33 heads if I reamed the holes for larger studs?

Ok, I'll marinate on that for a bit...

anybody else got views on goin stoker?
I did some math and the engine can be brought up to almost 3.5L w/o hitting the water jacket.

And with the stock bore and 1/4" longer stroke the new displacement would be 3.3L
