Ok so I was looking at adding a 2" BL to my 95 pathy. I looked at what you get for the price and was thining of making up my own - I have a least 60ft of 2" 6061 aluminum around the shop. So what other then the pucks and longer bolts do I need?

I've heard form my friends in the toyota crowd that aluminum blocks make for a noisy BL when stuff flexes. I also know that putting aluminum against bare steel can sometimes have potential for some devistating rust conditions (on the steel side) so check your coatings on the frame and maybe slide your liftblocks into a cut up bicycle inner tube or something to reduce noise and possible aluminum/steel metal contact.

Other than that, I'm cuious to see how it goes I been considering making a coustom 1"BL myself using nylon or some type of composite block.
