nice looking rig. Are you keeping the side triangle windows, or did you ditch them? for the tailgate convert, did you just chop the rear hatch, and make it into a tailgate? What you just did with yours it what I was thinking of doing to mine.

the one on drivers side busted out due to the ummm well fire that was caused when hot torch slag hit carpet trim and seats ouch however one in passenger side is still there trying to decide what to do with them.
As for the rear tail gate yes I cut the normal hatch down pretty much to where the bottom of the glass used to be than welded two hinges to the bottom of it and bolted those to the truck. Than I made up some chains to act as side supports to keep tail gate level for tailgating sitting eating etc and barrell bolts to keep it closed as its up.
As for the roof I kinda just pinched the sharp edge over and welded it back to its self. welded in an extra support over the front (used the one that was in rear half)and put in a sheet metal celing thats rivited in after I ran wiring through it. capped every open hole etc off with 16ga than a little mig weldign and bondo to finish it off.
To protect the inside neoprene seat covers and up graded heater blower and do it your self bed liner all on the inside. Cut all the trim flush and used rtv silicon to seal up the top edges into the walls. Thanks for the compliment now if I could just afford soem bigger tires. I can fit 33's but just havent gotten around to buying them because im about to build a matching camo teardrop camper.
