thanks alot guys! i really appreciate your inputs!

I would be really worried about that timing beltat 165k just because you don't have any maintenance records on the truck. If it's the origional or the 1st replacement, you're on a ton of borrowed time. The VG30 is an interferance motor so, if it breaks, you're screwed.
.

if the t-belt has been replaced at say, 100k, wouldnt it stand to reason that he has ANOTHER 35k on the belt left...how is that borrowed time?

Keep in mind that the vg30 timing belt lifespan is 60k miles not 105k like the vg33.

WRONG lol

They started using a different belt (and pulleys) at 6/93 which changed it to 105k.

You could always take a peek inside the upper timing cover and inspect it.

ok so i dug up all the receipt from previous owner and found out that timing belt, gear box's, atf, trans filter, coolant, power steering, inline fuel filter, cap and rotor. plugs and wires were still ok at 144k. according to nissan dealer.
so i just replaced the accessory belts. and the radiator just broke on me just replaced that too. maybe its time for the plugs and wires. and that should do it for a while.
