If that includes the bike that is nothing. My next mountain bike is going to be at least 1k and that is a lower middle range bike.

Can you post the sources for your engine, front free wheel, and any other special parts?

The shifter kit setup is from www.sickbikeparts.com

The engine, I got from www.livefastmotors.com, but there are lots of other suppliers out there that sell them (ebay, etc).
The engine you want is advertised as an "80cc" bicycle engine, but is technically a 47-48cc displacement. The "80s" seem to work best with the shifter kit SBP sells. I got my kit from livefast for $250 cash, since he's local to me. But, I've also gotten kits that were better quality in some respects from ebay for $150.

The dual pull brake lever, I got from here:

Couple of auctions where you could get a cheap kit:

Wow! That sounds eerily like my first motorcycle--a Yamaha 80 back in 1965. Next purchase needs to be at least a good 3/4 helmet, gloves and an armored jacket.

WinkTell them "no comment" when they ask how fast you can go.

Did you solicit the interview? or did a reporter see you cruising around?
