this is my first bike so I am still learning to ried. My question is does my clutch need adjusting because the bike will stall when I stop in gear even with the clutch in or is this normal for dirt bikes. Also is there a good way to paint vinyl because I am thinking it would look alot better with a black seat. Any other tips or advice would be greatly apperciated.
Go to ebay and search the words "kx 125", there you will find a killer seat cover. You can do a small adjustment on the cable to see if you get more pull on the clutch. You didn't say what year it was, but if it is mid '90s and up, it sounds like fun. Of course I wouldn't be caught dead on anything less than a 500, but your just learning so 125 sounds right.

It is a 92. But now it has no second gear, so I am already tearing it apart. The guy that sold it to me said he and his friend who was a kawasaki mechanic recently rebuilt it, I don't think these guys were all that bright cause they did a pretty bad job on the rebuild. So far I haven't been able to find a forum or web site with lots of info on kawasaki bikes so if anyone knows of one
If I am thinking correctly 92 is when they went to inverted forks right? As for adjusting the clutch, you want enough slack in the lever to fit a nickel between the lever and the perch to get it about right for the adjustment. If you want to find parts, I'd order a dennis kirk offroad mag, they are free if you go to their website and have a ton of stuff in them. I'd pull the pipe and check for scars in the cylinder while you've got it apart too. I'd also look into picking up a maintenace book on it, those things are life savers. If you have any questions on riding, or run into questions about working on it, just shoot me an e-mail or PM and I'll try to help ya out.
