Tires for my car ain't cheap. The goodyear F1's I have on the back run about $230 each.

I found a full set of brand new sticker Daytona ZR 245/45/17 tires for $259!!! All 4! And Z rated to boot (actually W rated - 168MPH)

Yeah, these are a cheaper tire than the Goodyears, but at that price, they don't have to last as long either.

It's a tire store going tits up, and they're liquidating what they have left. Good for me.

They'll go into storage until this winter when I'm ready to put them on.

A better and cheaper tire (for next time when you have to pay full price) is the Falken Azenis ST115. They're $121 each and probably stickier than anything else out there.

That's what most autocross guys run in the street tire class. I've got a set on my Maxima and they are a lot stickier than the Yokohama AVS Sports I used to run and they last longer (and cheaper to boot).

Sticky usually means faster treadwear tho.

They actually wear pretty well for how sticky they are. They're certainly not eco-squealer all weather radials with 30,000 mile treadwear warranty. But you should get 15K out of them at least.

The Nittos I have on the front have about 20k, and the goodyear F1s on back have about 15k...they've never been rotated....I'd say there's another 8-10k in each

Ah well...I went ahead and bought the other set. $259 was just too cheap to pass up. The tires are brand new with a late 2005 manufacture date.

Keep them inside in black garbage bags and they'll be as good as new when you put them on in a year.

should be ok, but I believe you want to keep them standing up on their tread, not laying down on their sides.
