which gen Z31 or Z32? which year are you looking at? what are you looking for?

I own 3 240Z cars. Been into Zcars twice as long as I've been into the 4X4 scene.

Z31 1984-1989 Z32 1990-1996. The beat years are the 1990-1 1994-5. 1996 was the last year and there very hard to find they only made like 300(don't remember the exact number). And there Numbered.

1994-1995 are the fastest ones. only thing is, there very expensive to work on. The twin-turbo are no joke. Just with replacing the turbo's intercooler and boost controller you'll be pushing over 400HP. Those cars can produce crazy power. The price is high for the work.

Make sure the car has been taken care of and babied. Not given to the teen-aged kid on the weekends. They are very complicated cars when things start going wrong. Most of the time you'll never have a problem out of a well maintained car. If its had a rough life, move to the next one.

I have worked on these cars before. They are hands down the hardest car to work on period. I believe that is an official title held by the 300ZXTT.

If you do your own work, be warned that it's not easy. If you don't do your own work, be warned that it's expensive. Just an example of this, replacing timing belts is quoted as a 7 hour job at the dealership.

Yes, Z32s suck to work on. You pretty much have to pull the engine to get to the turbos. Finding one with good turbos and low miles will be difficult.

But they drive sooo nice.
