It's a very clean 92 honda prelude SI.

You can see my truck in the background sitting there wanting attendsion.... It needs a carb rebuild been kind on the back burner for now.

I installed them last night had to use a dremel to cut holes in the fenders to fit them.
Black clear turn signals and headlight side markers
new rubber

new Tanabe DF210 drop springs 1.5" front 1.2" rear I got them off ebay for $75 shipped. They should be here this week.
Getting a Mugen header and a catback exhaust next.

Probably getting some one peice JDM Headlamps soon as well.
Might do a H22a4 Vtec engine swap with 5 speed sometime in the future.... For now it works for me as a daily.

I like that body on the preludes...some of the better looking cars Honda has built.

Is that a big dent in the rear quarter, or is it just the light playing off the black?

I guess it's the light there isn't a big dent back there.

I always liked the look of 'ludes from that vintage. Just like I like 95 240SX's and 95 SC400's. They have great lines.

It's a SI but no 4WS on it.

i've always liked those, except for that freakish dash setup. it's a very japanese looking car like the 240's. i like it!
So how much was it?

Even trade for my beat on 93 4 runner and he gave me $500. I used the $500 to buy some things for it like new brake rotors, pads, oil change, a mugen header which I should be getting soon and new tanabe lowering springs.

sweet deal. thats looks like it's in damn good shape, espeially since it's in the rust belt there. i cleaned a little 94 del sol today. that's a nice little chick car.

The guy who did the rest of the exhaust used 2.25 tubing I wanted 2.5 but did have alot to throw at it.
I also figured this will do until I decide to go with a high flow cat then I can goto 2.5" behind that.
I wish he had mounted the hanger on top instead of on the side like he did but it's too late now....
I am happy with it now I just need to get the header on it. It's funny the exhaust guy was very skeptical about how it was going to sound.
He was quite surprised when he started it after he did the work to find it actually has a nice deep exhaust tone to it and not a ricey whine like you hear on honda civics with thier fart can systems.

Real JDM One peice chrome prelude headlights.
I got them off ebay for $147 pretty good deal since these lights usually go for over $250 without shipping.
They take H4 and H1 bulbs so I had to splice them into my headlight harness.
I got a set of H1 silverstars for the highbeam and am getting a set of h4 silverstars for my b-day for low beams.


I also picked up a Megan Racing header for $114 shipped off ebay.

Well it might be totalled now.
My G/F was sitting a a red light some idiot in a pontiac sunfire rear ends her at like 25-30 MPH while she is stopped at a light.

The damage doesn't look too bad from the pictures but it is definately bent.
You can see the big olde gap in the rear taillight and the trunk.

Although the drivers side rear quarter looks like it was shifted up about 1/2"-1" compared to the passengers.
I am not a body expert but it definately needs a rear quarter on the drivers side the rear bumper is cracked in 1/2 at the bottom.

It's definately gonna cost more than $1500-2000 to fix it acorrding to KBB my prelude is only worth like $3,190 private sale.

Find a good frame guy to put it on the rack and line it back up. They use big hydraulic rams to bend the bent parts back to stock specs. I know of one here in phoenix that could pull it out straight prety easily so that the panels line up again. The body would still have some kinks, but the doors and trunk would work properly.

Then just drive it... Thats really not that bad of a ding.

Let them total it, then buy it back and get a salvage title on it. If it still runs and drives OK, at least you still have transportation.
