Hey guys I need some advice. I need a good place or a good someone who can find a fuel smell and hook the chip up to a diognostic to see what I need to do to tune it in. The truck is having a hard time starting and smells like fuel pretty bad. Please help.

It being an '85 should still be OBDI. You should be able to pull codes your self. I would look in a haynes or chiltons for the procedure to pull codes on it.

I found out what is leaking and it is the fuel damper in the fuel rail. I guess the adjustment screw backed itself out. When you buy these are they usually preset? And about the OBDI, my computer does not have a diagnostic port. Is a place like Auto Zone going to be able to plug into the spot where the wiring harness plugs in? Thanks for your guys help!

The fuel Dampner is basically just a plug. Screw the
Old one back out & the new one in...No adjustments but do not overtighten...

Well it is all better. $109 later and about 2 minutes. It even fixed the fuel smell from the exhaust. I am waiting to see if it effects the mileage. Thanks for your help.
