Finally got the Cherokee Lifted. Only took me 8 years!! Went with a rubicon express 5.5" long arm and put 33" tires on. Can't wait to get out and test it.

I built up a set for Robert's cherokee, and they've held up awesomely.

Here's the URL of the only pics I have on the set I made for him. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the build pics. Wink ***Click for pics***

Lemmeno if you have any questions on how I did it...

There really isn't enough there to support a slider. A unibody "frame," is just layered pieces of thicker sheet metal that has been formed.

I built those "c-channels" to wrap around that part of the body, so I was using both sides. If you wanted to do it beef, you'd sleeve the frame for the bolts to go thru. I just drilled some holes, and used grade 8 stuff.

Bending those c-channels wasn't very hard. Use an angle grinder with a thin cut off wheel, and score a line to bend on. Then, weld your bend to strengthen it up, and BAM, you've got purdy frame hugging slider mounts.

Also, you will want to make em as close to the rockerpanel as possible. Robert's sliders still flexed pretty good. I know he added a piece of 1x1 or something to fill the gap on his. Wink

You could probably get away with using two plates. I do like how they used that 1"X.25" strip to bolt onto the pinch seam. That could work. The c brackets are actually very easy to do. Wink

If you do go the route that you pictured, I'd add a middle support as well.
