Anyone ever go to the Evans Creek area at Mt. Rainier? Went there a coupla times when I lived in the Seattle area (grew up on the east side of the state). Trails were tight for a 86.5 long bed 4x4, but sure was a lot of slippery, muddy fun.

another kinda old thread...but I will chime in.

Born and raised in Oregon, even got webbed toes to prove it! Razz

grew up on a farm way up in the mnts off the southern coast. Moved to Eugene in 1979 and remained until I moved to JH, Wyo in 95. Spent 24 years hiking, camping, wheeling, fishing and all that in Oregon. Know the state well but it has been nearly 10 years since I called it home. I usually go back to Eugene every X-mas and may do a trip this year in the Pinz! Big Grin

Used to hit P-town at least once a month to see shows or even jaunt on up to Seattle. Had many a fun night at the Laluna or Pine Street in P-town. I am so damn old school I remember when they were building Burnside skate park under the bridge. FYI, Red used to have to clean the bums crap out of the bowls and such while he built it. Under that bridge was basically a bum camp and Red took it over to build the skate park, so the bums kept crapping on his work for like a year! Had many bro's who worked on that and drank beer with Red who built it more than once...now that places is in video games! Camped on Rainer one summer for 3 days, backpacking. Hit Bremmerton the next day for a Beastie Boys show on a soccer field...what a trip! Never forget that weekend. Even still got a Gerber BMF knife I bought on the warf in Seattle back when I was 18 and on a road trip....

Ahh...the good ole days! Bawl

If it wasn't for Oregons crappy economy I would still be there or even move back....but it has been overrun by Californians! Roll Eyes

I'm pretty sure I already posted in this thread but I'll post again. I'm in Oregon. On the boards I know of a HB guy down in Bend, and one in Mtn. Home as well. Also two Pathy guys in Boise. The NW guys usually hang around AC (4x4parts.com) more often, but once in awhile venture over here.

Hey Rami, long time no see.

What are you doing the end of March or so? Josh and I and a couple other people are thinking about getting together to do a little wheeling, wanna join us? We haven't really decided where we wanna go, but have just been talking about it.

And I just read this entire thread, the first post I made in here I said I was going to replace my truck...not so, now it's got 230k on it and I have lift/steering/tires to install, w00t
