There are actually a few things happening in the NW, thought I'd post them up.

In October there will be a Virtue Flats OHV cleanup. Virtue Flats is a couple miles out of Baker City, and is mainly used for motorcycles and ATVs, though they allow vehicles out there. They haven't nailed down an exact date yet, but I will repost when they do. I'm planning on being there, along with some Jeepers I met over here (hey, they're pretty much the only wheeling enthusiasts we've got). The OHV is owned by BLM and recently expanded, so some BLM bigwigs will be there looking for input as well.

We're planning a winter run in Washington during the weekend of Dec 2-3. We haven't nailed down a place yet, but TJ's flying over, Nick will have the 720 going by then, and Les recently bought an FJ40. Josh is going to try to be there, and myself as well; haven't heard from many other people.

Anyway, just wanted to post up and let some of y'all know what's going on in this neck of the woods. If you want any more info on the OHV cleanup, PM me or leave a msg here and I'll see what I can find out; and if you want info on the WA run, look over on AC, we have an ongoing thread in the NW forum

Update:

The guy organizing the Virtue Flats cleanup seems to have gone AWOL, so that may not be in the cards anymore. I'm talking to one of the other local club members and we're thinking about doing it but don't know about scheduling with BLM or what works for who etc. Input?

And the link for the Dec run thread over on AC is : http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&N...&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1

Walker Valley sounds like. Does your truck have any mods? I'm expecting to have to winch my truck through a lot of places, and I'm locked on 33s, dunno what your truck's like.

Hmm, alright. I'll try to post a little more in advance next time, maybe we can get a less-modded truck run going next time. I'm going to be trying to follow a 720 on 38s around this time, so don't know how all that will go. Seems like all the Nissan guys on the boards have almost stock rigs, so I think we should focus a run on that next time.

I didn't end up going, my steering still isn't shipped, and one of my finals got moved up from thursday to last Monday, so I just decided not to go. The guys that did go posted some pics on the AC link, looks like a blast!
And I found a BUNCH more NW peeps on NOR, so I think we may be planning a western or central OR run in the spring...I'll post up if/when that happens
