I just finished replacing a leaky freeze plug in my new rusty 89 D21..I've been checking all my fluids daily and today I noticed the oil was a little low..I haven't had much leakage up untill I started with the freeze plug. The plug was right above where the dip stick enters the oil pan and it was pretty funky around the seal there. I cleaned it up a bit and I suspect that's why I'm seeing more leakage..

Anyone done this fix before? What should I expect as for as parts$$$$ and difficulty on this job? Thanks

no seals shown... should be a pressure fit.
might try pulling it out, applying a thin coat of rtv and re-seating it.
Unless maybe it is damaged...

Thanks George,
I may be jumping the gun on this one...I'll be monitoring fluid levels to see what's going on...doesn't seem to be a common problem.

Sometimes it will seal by itself, just leave it alone unless it's leaking big time then remove and replace.
