Its coming out of one engine and going into a different one. Will the different drive gear affect anything?

this is the first time i have ever heard of someone worrying about this. lol. my 200sx with a vg30 has a distributor gear thats missing 3 teeth and it still works 250k later.


92 pathy- 3 link front, long arm rear, front EB 44 with ox locker and full chromo shafts, rear with full carrier detroit. 4.88/4.9 gears front and back. Currently on 35's.

I wouldnt worry about it. thats pretty normal looking. Just toss it in the new engine and get it together.

The only parts you really need to be concerned about wear patterns are on differentials, which see tremendous forces. The distributor is in effect just freewheeling off the cam gear, so theres no load on it.
