I found some 5" Alum pipe(don't know the specific alloy) that's .0625 wall thickness
( 1/16" inch).. A 5 foot section when properly capped would hold aprox 4.5 gallons. Anyway, using this calculator I come up w/ 5000 psi allowable stress- which can't be right. I tried several times w/ the calculator to get a psi rating, but kept getting unbelievable numbers. All I want it to handle is 125 psi. Think it's doable? ..................... as long as your careful and don't dent it or scrape it I think you could get awy with 125 psi. Mind you most compressor resivors and balasts for 100psi tooling are atleast 1/8 steel(if thats what your using it for)

I want to make tanks to put up under each bed rail. A 14' length was about 30$.
