The early k5 spindles are not the same as the waggy spindles John. We ran into that issue on the last run when my bearings seized up. I screwed up both of my spindles on that run and ended up going to the newer "big bearing" spindles because I couldn't find the older style anywhere used.

The "big bearing" spindles are the same as the 8-lug 3/4 ton Chevy spindles, you'd just have to buy new hubs and bearings. The spindles should be easy to find in a yard.
