I have been thinking that my MC is "bad" and bled the brakes again last weekend. Nice tight pedal.

But then I drive it and they soon soften up and I can push the pedal pretty much to the floor.

Dennis at ABC is telling me that if the MC goes that fluid leaks into the booster.

Fluid looks the same.

Or I still have a small air leak somewhere. It doesn't drip.....

I read on here I think, about bleeding the ABS valve even though there is no ABS? (cut off at the swap) I think it was Datz maybe, but I can't find it.

I'd like to get this put to bed before the run....

Any thoughts?

Meh.

So you aren't losing fluid correct?

You could swap out the MC as insurance. I'm not sure how expensive that is for an X though. I know those 1/2 ton front calipers are a b*tch to bleed right. You need to tap the calipers to get the bubbles to move up and in some cases you need to rotate the calipers down so the bleeder valve is the highest point. The brakes in the beast were always mushy with my 1/2 ton brakes. I have a much better pedal now with the 1 ton-3/4 ton setup.

So was yours ever tight? My pedal is still soft and if I step on it hard I can take it to the floor, and that was after the shop with through a 16 oz. bottle of fluid bleeding them. I stop fine with just a touch of the pedal, but just have all that extra mush if I push on it hard.

The pedal will never feel like it did, the calipers are way bigger on the 44.

Yeah what Gumy said. It will not hold my truck.

And trying to do this with my wife as a co worker doesn't cut it at all.

Oh well, don't let me get behind you on a hill I guess.

We'll have a brake bleeding party this weekend if you can get over in daylight. I gotta do mine too. Mine pulls to the left pretty bad on hard braking.
