I developed an intermittant problem with mine on the way to AZ 8. It has continued to mess up about once or twice a month.
Last week I was picking up a part for mom-in-laws car and when I came back out to the truck, it wouldn't crank. I tried hitting it with both batteries, and tapping on the starter; nothing.

I felt around on the starter and found that the small wire had worked loose. It has a spade terminal, so it is no surprise that it worked loose over time.

I pushed it on and it cranked right up. Now I wonder if that was my problem all along. Time will tell.

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Too late now, we'll see how it goes and if I'll use the lifetime garrantee.

Geez what a pain getting to that top bolt on the starter.. Finally got it out, and the new one positioned, but having problems getting that bolt started.

Tomorrow's another day, but I will have a new air ratchet to play w/, as there's virtually no room to move a conventional ratchet.

Waht a chore Mad

I'm gonna be rewiring my starter circuit tomorrow. My starter is still acting up on the Pathy, even after tearing it down and cleaning it up. I'm thinking the wiring is corroded and needs to be replaced.

I wouldn't want to try that on the run, alone, w/ a lifted truck. Jumping in can't be easy.
