I'm talking to a guy about a Camry. It is a '93. I'm assuming that it is similar to a PU's V6. He thinks that it has a busted timing belt. Are they an interference motor?

If its the stock 2vzfe then it has a non-interference engine. the camry and turck engines are not even similar. the camry is a 2.5 litre dohc. how many miles are on it? if over 150k i would avoid it because its probably going to need a valve job on both heads soon.

If the timing belt is snapped pass onto the next vehicle. Not worth the trouble getting it running. The biggest issue is possible of internal engine components got damaged.

Depends on how nice the car is, how cheap you can get it, and how mechanically inclined you are.

JY engines should be plentiful for that car.

As I said above... its a NON-interference engine... no engine damage can occur if the belt snaps.
