Hello everyone. I just finished installing the dynomax cat-back exhaust to my '94 HB and after I took it out for a quick spin, I could really smell something burning and it seemed like it was coming from the muffler itself. Is there any kind of "break-in" period for new mufflers or is there something to be worried about? I'm hesitant to drive it again 'til I know what it is. Cheers...
I'm sure its just a little bit of break in, my pathy still smells a litle when I really get on it w/ my new headers + cat, if it don't smell to strong I would guess its just the new metal reacting to newly forming exhaust deposits. check all your hoses and wires near the new exhaust (shock boots too) also check for leaks that could be shooting hot gasses @ someting. If you can't find anyting I would continue to drive it cautously (re-checking from time to time) untill the smell goes away. hope this helps
