2wd, and 4wd don't mix. Different parts and part numbers.

The 2wd WD21 and 2wd D21 parts should be interchangeable.

Negative.

The 2wd WD21 is identical to the 4wd minus the obvious parts that make it 4wd. The steering, suspension, etc. is all the same except for the knuckles which don't have space for the CV shafts.

The 2wd vs. 4wd D21 have completely different front ends though.

So no, parts from a 4wd WD21 are not interchangable with a 2wd D21.....but they are interchangable with a 4WD D21 or WD21.

Mabye a different steering box? I know the 2wd Frontier vs the 4wd Frontier use a different steering box... the 4wd box is a lot bigger. Probably would have a larger shaft for the pitman arm.
