IT'S OFFICIAL!!

Bruce at Suspension.com called me back with great news.
Energy Suspension is releasing the set to the public and he is ordering them starting next week.
He will have them IN STOCK, Same day shipped in 3 weeks once he gets them from E.S.

Here is the biggest kicker..
The price will be <buckle up>

E.S. part number 7.1111G
$42 per set, bushings & sleeves
plus shipping.

He asked me how many sets he should order.
I told him 15-20 sets at THAT price shouldn't be a problem. Big Grin

I don't know.
Do hardbodies and pathys share the same front diff mounting as the WD-22, xterras and frontiers?
If they do, then you're in luck.

Just a matter of torching out or pressing out the old ones and pressing in these.

Sorry bout that.
I have no ties with any vendors or websites.
Just happen to call at the right time and talk to the right people.
Thanks

I don't know what spencers tool looked like but if someone could post pics we should be able to figure it out. i'll also see if there are pics in the old SLR install instructions.

but Chances are you can rent a press tool from your local suto parts store.

When I installed one way back when, I didn't need a press. I burned out the old bushings, then used a sawzall to cut out the inner rings that the stock bushings mount in, then tapped them out with a screwdriver.

The new ones slid right in with a little vasoline.

When you lift an IFS vehilce the control arms wind up at a steeper angle (you already know this) your halfshafts have to do the same thing...
this steeper angle causes the CV joints on your halfshafts to wear out faster. by installing diff drop bussings you allow you front differential to sit lower which helps reduce the added stress. It only drops it a little (which still helps) and it doesnt change your ground clearance.

does it effect your downtravel? no
does it change anything you'll notice right away? no

will your halfshafts live longer and thank you for it? YES

Not necessarily true.
I'm doing a front coilover swap on my IFS xterra, and this will DEFINLTEY help increase my wheel travel. Big Grin
Longer shocks and a shock hoop will help with increasing travel.
I want to eliminate my torsion bars, so my travel will definitely be affected with this. Big Grin

Also.
SLR's stage control arms (Tubular style) required the use of this or the cv joint might bind under full droop. This lowered the diff and kept the CV's in the "safe" range of motion.

For the price, if you're lifted, it's well worth it.

either I'm missng something or your missing somthing;
what does the position of your differential carrier have to do with a coil over swap? The length of your shocks? Your shock hoops?

the only part I get is the last part: ya I guess Binding under full drop would be very noticeable. your if your leaving the "safe zone" you will notice improvement when you use these.

Sorry, My post was a bit confusing.
The coilover swap and shock hoops have nothing to do with anyone installing these bushings.

The diff drop bushings will lower the diff 5/8", to either
A. Allow more droop
or
B. Allow you to crank the t-bars a bit more for more height with the same droop.

Those are the benefits.
Our CV's have a max angle of 29 degrees.
