Ive got the A/t 31x10.50 have ran them on and off road lot of highway still new side tread and have half tire left after 35,000miles

I'm going back to Swamper Bias Plys. My wheeling style doesn't lend well to Radials! 2nd time out in my truck off-road, I boogerded the sidewall of one of my brand new BFG M/Ts. My Dad swears by BFG though, and wouldn't wheel on anything less unless his checkbook said otherwise! In My Opinion, it just happens to be how you wheel. Some poeple make them last forever in the most unforgiving terrin. Other people (like myself) eat up sidewalls, so Bias Plys are better. It's a preference thing. I have no experience w/Goodyear M/T or MTR.

I'm not saying they are the best tire.....but I'm on my second set of Mud's got 35,000 out of the last set, would have been more but I got lazy on a needed alignment.

Mine have some good gashes in them too. I don't care really, I have certificates. If I munch one, I'll just go make Mikey give me a new one.

The desert Dakar guys don't run standard M/T's. They run Baja T/A's which are HELLA expensive. THICK sidewall, but you know what they say, you can't polish a turd... hehe

No, the Dakar Nissans at least were running the BFG M/Ts. I've got a few pics showing the tread up close. The M/T and Baja T/A tread is different enough to see in a pic. Some of the cars WERE running the Baja T/As, but I know for a fact that the Nissan teams were running mostly M/Ts.
