'85 truck...everything apart right now. locked f/r, dual cases 4.7 in the back, blah, blah, blah

of course the real project is this summer. custom frame with 4.3/700r4/yota everything else covered by a path or old patrol body. have a line on a '95 vortec right now and a fullsize 700, although i'd rather have a tbi 4.3

_______

it's a nice driveway ornament...

From what I've seen, they just have little pins in them that restrict to 30 degrees which can be easily removed. These were built into a few yotas, and I've seen a few how-tos on converting them to work at up to 50-60 degrees.

We'll see whenever I get them.. Desert Rat is being slow at getting the parts. Frown

They're made by suncompany.net, I got mine from 4x4connection.com in person, otherwise shipping is a bit steep compared to the item cost. Order a bunch together or something.

Thanks Offroad X, I am going to order some if anyone else wants to let me know we can do a joint order.

The T-case gears are in...I tested them and there is a little whine going on after it shifts from 1st to 2nd...is this normal?

Also love the locker!

BTW if anyone wants help with the installation I have to give a plug for Desert Rat of Tempe! Scott did the install for me on these and did a hell of a job. He also put the locker in for me as well! These guys are top notch and do not have a bias against Nissans. Rob is the guy at the counter to contact if you want them done. I do not recomment 4 wheelers supply for these, they do not know how or want to do gear installs on Nissans.

SunCompany.net will do custom-logo pieces if you guys want to get a bunch of N4W ones made up. I think they start at around 100-piece orders...

Thanks for that tip, Brent. We'll look into that.

BTW, for anyone else in the SW area, AZTaco on this board will do gear installs for $200 if you bring him the case; $500 if you bring the whole truck. He and JW are both techs at Nissan, so they have lots of experience working on these things.

How much are those deals? If they are cheap, I would pay you back Xcetra if you picked up a few for me.

If you wait until you get back to Salt Lake you can get them at 4 wheel parts and save the shipping, plus I think that they are cheaper.

Yes... Confused mine does the same but it is not a problem. Cool

Your wheels are turning one half as fast because your gears are turning twice as fast. Wink
