I just tightened the nuts down on mine its probably due for new bushings which is much cheaper then the stock steering parts. I will order new bushings when I order transfer case gears.

My bushing are still tight. The bushings are supposed to be the sacrifcial material. Better they wear out than other more expensive and harder to replace parts.

I agree. There is no such thing as a no-maintenance steering! The most expensive bushing ist still cheaper the 2 TRE, a Center link, and an Idler Arm! That was over $300 I was spending every 2-3 months to keep my truck driving! I've had the Calmini steering on since the day it debuted (owner #9!), and it's still surviving. I finally have parts that are starting to wear from age!

Some of the guys on NOR have gone thru bushings in something like 3 months adn had visible wear indicated after one or two outings.
Maybe there wasa bad batch, I dunno...I've lasted about 20K with 2 wheeling trips on them and as far as I can tell I'm OK. Check it out...

Maybe its a maint issue? bad grease? I doubt it 'cause the guys who're having the problems know better than to not jube up before and aftera trip.

Whatever, I'm paying attention to mine....I really like Datz's spherical bearing idea tho...Looks like it hits the nail on the head.
