I think the deal on the calmini diff skid and diff skids in general is the difference of the pathys coil springs. I'm guessing you hb and frontier guys can use it no problemo but I hear the coil spring perches are in the way of the mounting brackets on the pathy...

I bet Calmini could tell you for sure - I think they have a Pathy there that they could check on.

I don't see any difference between the two, except the Pathy has the darn reear swaybar right in the way. But in my case it wouldn't matter Wink

Thanks for all the suggestions and the warm welcome guys. I've been away from internet access for a few days competing in a CalROCS/NARRCA rock crwaling competition in Mason TX. Two rolls and a whole lot of new sheetmetal "modifcations" but we took 3rd place in Modified class. Big Grin

For those of you who have sent me emails, I'm catching up on now, and will get you a response soon.

Seems like there is a lot of Pathfinder interest. If anyone is withing driving distance of Houston, let me know. I'm working on locating one here also.

I think I maybe able to find you someone in this area with a Pathy for you guys to play with.

Do you guys have any intentions of making a rear bumper for the Frontier? I know there are a few of us out there who want a strong bumper with recovery points and a price thats reasonable...something KMA and Sterling aren't. Sorry, but for $650 I'll buy a welder and build my own. Anyways, welcome. Its good to see a local fabricating company intrested in Nissans, something another company coughN-Fabcough is neglecting, maybe I'll roll into yalls shop one day.

An H233B diff skid that soesn't have any bolts hanging down (like Calmini, they have awesom products, but they should have done more R&D on the diff skid!). Pre runner bumpers (similar to what I had fabbed for me, would be great, it includes an aluminum skid the goes from the bumper, to the crossmember behind the oil pan (you can still change oil with out removing the skid). Anything "Hardcore" armor wise, for D21 and WD21 (I'm partial to D21 myself Smile ) Trucks/Pathys.

Alright, I knew we had already had this diff skid discussion:
http://nissan4wheelers.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=227600023&f=780606133&m=2066087311

Anyway, the important stuff, as posted by XPLORx4:
The skid plate won't work for vehicles with a multi-link coil sprung H233B axle. The upper link brackets on the axle are too close to the pumpkin, and would interfere with the way the skid plate U-bolts attach. And yes, there are 4 drain holes in the bottom. The photo on Calmini's site must feature a prototype.

I examined a skid plate that was installed on a X and compared the H233B on my 97 Pathfinder with the X's with the skid plate. The outer plates of the diff skid extend too far out, where the axle starts to have a constant diameter.

Bummer for me, because my diff drain plug has taken a beating, and armor would be nice
