The as states only up to 4.88. I thought Detroit only makes two lockers. One for the low range gears and one for the high gears.

You are correct. it will work on a D44 with 3.92 or higher.

I placed a bid for 350. I'm sure someone will outbid me at the last minute. They always do.

Hope that is for the rear! I cannot remember if you had a locker for that rear axle yet.

Why do you bother bidding on it early? You only jack up the price for yourself if someone else steps in to try to win it later. Put it on the watch list and go back when the auction is just about to end. Snipe it. That's what I always do.

Most of the time someone els outbids me and end up paying a higher amount than I would be willing to dish out.

Right now it's at 385.00. I rather spend the extra ~150 for a new one.
